Small quilt blocks (less than 8″) are so charming. You often find them in mini quilts and other small projects. However, they do present their own challenges.

We often encourage quilters to be extra accurate when piecing small blocks. Being off by even a little can make the blocks more challenging and mistakes easier to spot.

There are other things to consider, too, that can have a big impact on the finished blocks. Andy from A Bright Corner has written an excellent article with tips for piecing them. These are insights she gleaned while making a sampler quilt made up of small blocks.
