An Easy Way to Do Curved Piecing
You’ll Love This Method of You Don’t Like Pinning!
Do you typically skip over quilt patterns that require curved piecing? This is one technique that many quilters tend to avoid, especially those who don’t like pinning.
It’s also a great technique to master, as there are so many beautiful patterns that use curved piecing. The good news is that curved piecing is way easier than you may be imagining.
Andy, from A Bright Corner, has an easy way to do curved piecing with only one pin. Her secret is the use of inexpensive bent-tip tweezers to help feed the fabric through the machine. Watch her demonstrate her method in the following video.

If you prefer a little more control over how the curves line up, create a crease in the center of each curved piece and pin the two pieces together there and at each end. The following article explains what I mean. While they go on and finish with a lot of pins, one in the center of the curve and one at each end may be all you need using Andy’s tweezer method.
