The Little Things Make a Big Difference!
Done is often better than perfect, however there’s no denying that perfectly pieced quilt blocks are a joy to sew together into a top. It pays to minimize frustration by making blocks as precise as possible. The more complex the blocks, the more important perfect, or nearly perfect, becomes.
Julie Cefalu from The Crafty Quilter has written an excellent article with 8 tips for more perfect piecing. You’ll find a lot a great insights that will help you make better quilts.
Often it’s the little things that cause problems later, like not squaring up units that seem “close enough.” However, striving for perfection at every step adds up and can make a big difference.
Any one of Julie’s tips can help you achieve better results. Apply them all and you may just find yourself making perfect blocks!
