Give Your Sewing Chair a Quilty Cover
Instructions Can Be Easily Adapted to Fit Your Chair!
Does your sewing or office chair need a makeover? Give it a patchwork cover to brighten up both the chair and your space.
The instructions for this project require that you measure your chair and make custom-fit templates. It’s not hard to do. Just follow the step by step instructions provided by designer Karen Maxwell.
Piece together half-square triangle blocks from layer cake fabric for the two coverings (or dig into your stash). Cut the pieced blocks to size using your templates.
The coverings are held in place on the chair by quarter-inch elastic inside a bias tape placket stitched around the outside edges.
Of course, any block will work for the tops (just make the finished piecing large enough to cut the templates from), and in any colors you like best.
