An Easy DIY Quilt Display
Adjust it to Fit Your Space!
There are many creative ways to hang quilts. One of our favorites is to install a towel bar on a wall. That’s a simple way to showcase a quilt and to switch it out whenever you want.
Another simple method is to use a curtain rod instead of a towel bar. Longer rods allow for more display space. Either drape the quilt over the rod or use drapery rods with clips.

An idea we hadn’t considered is to stack curtain rods (or towel bars) to create the look of a quilt ladder. This is a relatively quick solution and one that can be easily adjusted to fit your space.
Margot Languedoc from The Pattern basket chose this approach (shown above) so that she can display several quilts in the space where one might hang. Learn more here.
Anne from Cottons ‘n Wool used three curtain rods for her display. We love how that allows her to display several quilts in a relatively small space. Learn more here.
This is a great solution because you can stack however many rods you want that are of the width that will fit your wall space. Towel bars or short curtain rods would work nicely in a narrow space.
Plus, you can easily display quilts without having to sew on sleeves. Nice!
