Store Quilts and Fabric in DIY Storage Totes
Choose Between Two Sizes!
Protect quilts, fabric, pillows, and more with these quilted storage totes. Made from fabric, they allow the contents to “breathe” while protecting your precious items from dust and crawling critters.
A vinyl window allows you to see what’s inside each tote. You can also slip a note into the (optional) pocket that lists the contents.
While we like ready-made fabric storage bags for their convenience and size options, we love these DIY totes even more. Choose fabric you enjoy for beautiful totes that look great wherever they’re stored.
Once full they stack nicely too. Plus you can choose between two sizes. Although, after you’ve made one and see how they go together you’ll be able to adjust the size to whatever you want.
The completed bags, designed by Caroline from SewCanShe, are the following sizes:
- Large Storage Tote – 24’’ wide x 16 1/2’’ deep x 14’’ tall. It fits a king-size quilt plus 2 pillow shams easily.
- Medium Storage Tote – 18’’ wide x 11’’ deep x 9’’ tall.
Caroline suggests the following products for these bags:
- ByAnnie’s Soft And Stable foam stabilizer
- Zippers by the Yard
- Pellon SF101 or Pellon 809 Decor-Bond fusible interfacing
- 12 gauge vinyl
- basting spray
