This Versatile Bag Can Feature Any Quilt Block

It’s An Easy Project, Too!
This beautiful bag is great for projects and so much more. It also makes a lovely gift for anyone who enjoys quilts.
An intricate woven star block turns the easy drawstring bag into something special. Or, substitute any block of your choice to make the bag uniquely yours.
The bag is lined, has inside pockets, and can be made in two sizes. Instructions are also included for two sizes of the quilt block, which can be used in many types of projects. You’ll find an excellent paper-piecing tutorial for making the block here.
Designer Ingrid Alteneder from Joe June and Mae provides instructions for two bags and two block sizes:
- Large Bag – 9.5″ wide x 11″ high x 4″ deep at the bottom
- Small Bag – 7″ wide x 8″ high x 3″ deep at the bottom
The two sizes of the “Double Woven Star Block” finish at 6″x 6″ and 8″x 8″.
