Make It In Primitive or Modern Prints!

This beautiful primitive-style quilt features colorful Log Cabin blocks surrounded by a lovely appliqued center. It will be a charming addition to your home in whatever colors and fabric styles you choose.

The beautiful vase with flowers is created with fusible applique while simple piecing is used for the rest. Careful cutting and sewing make it doable for quilters of most skill levels.

Birds on a Wire Quilt Pattern

This is a versatile design that provides many options. For example, instead of the applique you could feature a portion of a favorite panel or a large-scale motif cut from fabric in the 24″ square center. A large block perhaps with borders the same color as the background could also work nicely.

The example was made by Kim Schaefer and quilted by Lynn Helmke for Andover Fabrics and is 64 1/2″ x 64 1/2″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
