| Choose Between 6 Block Sizes!
Dig into your scrap pile for this striking block. Make a mini quilt, a table or wall quilt, or even a full-sized quilt with or without sashing between the blocks.
This block is beautiful in multiple colors as well as in simpler color palettes. By making each block different, you can give larger quilts an endearing scrappy look.
Multi-block quilts can have many different designs depending on how the blocks are laid out. This is a versatile block that is fun to play with.
The block is constructed using foundation paper piecing. If you’re new to the technique, don’t worry. The block is perfect for beginners, and you’ll find excellent FPP instructions here.
Designer Mariesa Morgan from Ten Cow Quilts provides instructions for 6 block sizes:
- 3″ finished (3 1/2″ unfinished)
- 4″ finished (4 1/2″ unfinished)
- 5″ finished (5 1/2″ unfinished)
- 6″ finished (6 1/2″ unfinished)
- 7″ finished (7 1/2″ unfinished)
- 8″ finished (8 1/2″ unfinished)
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
