This lovely table runner is the perfect project for that special fabric you have stashed away. It’s beautiful in vintage fabrics, as shown here, or in many other fabric styles and color combinations.
We can easily imagine it made up in patriotic colors, in rich autumn hues and in Christmas fabrics. Since it’s made with 5″ charm squares, you can easily coordinate colors from a favorite pack. Or, cut your own from fabric you have on hand.
The background can change, too. Black or charcoal gray for vivid colors or softer gray with lighter colors will be stunning. Or, pick your favorite color in a solid or low-contrast print and choose fabric to match for the stars.
This pattern is a simple one to make, too. Half-square triangles and square patches are a breeze to stitch up.
