Teach Someone to Quilt with This Pattern!

Ten inch layer cake squares stitch up very quickly into this fun quilt. It’s a great beginner project that even young sewists can complete. Experienced quilters will love how soon they’ll have it completed.

Select a layer cake pack in your favorite colors, or cut squares from your stash. The beauty of this quilt, besides being so quick and easy, is that you can give it any personality you want depending on the fabrics you choose.

Have fun playing with color as you design your own version. It’s so easy to make that we won’t be surprised if you make more than one.

And, keep this quilt in mind if you want to help someone learn to quilt. It’s perfect for a first quilt.

The finished quilt, from the Fat Quarter Shop, is 48″ x 61″, nicely sized for a throw quilt. Of course, you can add more patches for a larger quilt.
