A Super Easy Way to Hang Mini Quilts
No Sewing or Carpentry Required!
We love the look of a grouping of mini quilts hung on a wall. Whether they’re in various styles and sizes, or a collection of mug rugs or pot holders, little quilts provide charming decor that will brighten any room.
Hanging them can be a challenge, however. There are several ways to go about it, but most involve sewing a sleeve on the back of the quilt, or carpentry skills – or both.
Fortunately, we’ve discovered a super simple method that omits all that. Plus, the quilts can be easily repositioned and switched out as desired.

Beth from Cooking Up Quilts (website no longer available) uses Velcro Command Picture Hanging Strips. They go on both the wall and the quilt very quickly and easily. Plus, they can be easily removed and do not leave any residue that might harm a quilt (if you’ve ever used regular Command strips you know how great these are!).
Learn all about Beth’s method in the following article and have fun putting together your own display of mini quilts.

I use 2 pins. easy
I also use straight pins to hang small quilts.
Used Sewing machine needles are very strong and also great for hanging wall quilts.
I live in an apartment and they notified us that we can’t use any kind of command hooks, etc because it takes the paint and/or paper off the sheetrock. I just think it’s cheap paint and/or construction. I have use heavy straight pins at an angle I they hold nicely and very small holes to repair later.
I use clear headed push pins. The small quilts I hang will never be used so no worry about a pinhole in the quilt or wall. A dab of paint on a Qtip fills it right up.
