An Apron Block Makes a Charming Pot Holder
This Vintage Design Will be Lovely in Any Kitchen!
Choose vintage style fabrics from your stash for this lovely apron pot holder. It will be charming in whatever colors you like best and a pretty accent for your kitchen. It’s so cute that we might consider this one for decor only!
The pot holder is actually a 6″ block that can be used in many projects. It would be a lovely pocket on an actual apron or might be pieced into an appliance cover. A pot holder will be a lovely gift, too.
There are quite a few pieces to this block, but the extra effort is well worth it. Add a bit of lace or rick rack just inside the binding, if you want, for an extra special touch.
Designed by Kelly Guy, the finished pot holder is 8″ x 8″.
To make the block into a pot holder you’ll need to add background strips around the outside edges. Then layer, quilt and bind. Kelly provides instructions in her “Baked with Love” pot holder pattern.
