Quilters Can Never Have Too Many Tote Bags!

This lovely bag is perfect for fabric and other shopping, retreats and quilt guild meetings. Make it up in your colors and you’re sure to find yourself reaching for it again and again as you head out the door.

Pretty pinwheels are easy to make and add movement to the overall design. Five-inch squares from a charm pack or your stash make it as colorful as you want. Pull everything together with one predominant color for the handles, lining, and the top and bottom bands.

Construction of this bag is a breeze. We especially like the clever handles. Two layers of interfacing give them heft and mean they won’t wear out quickly. Watch the video on the pattern page to learn more (we want to incorporate this into other bags as well!).

The pattern from designer Sue Pfau is an easy project to complete. The finished bag is 12″ x 14″ x 6″. Not too big and not too small. This purse organizer will work nicely with this bag.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
