Display Them for Christmas or All Winter Long!

Hang these delicate snowflakes from the tree for a beautiful touch of winter. You can also string several together as a garland or even use them as gift tags by simply writing personal messages on the backs.

Since they’re flat they can be tucked into greeting cards for special little gifts. You can also incorporate them into quilts.

While blue and white are a perfect choice, the snowflakes will also be fun in other colors. It’s easy to imagine them in white and gray or white and silver or gold. Or make several in a rainbow of colors with each one different for a fun and festive display.

Paper piecing is used to construct the snowflakes. The pattern assumes you already know how that’s done. Or click here and here for helpful instructions.

Designed by Joanne Kerton from Canuck Quilter Designs, the completed snowflakes measure 4 ΒΌ inches from point to point across the middle.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
