Choose a Beautiful Print for This Charming Bag

Dress It Up With A Contrasting Tie!
This beautiful bag is dressier than most and a fun project to make. Use it for quilting supplies, shopping, and everyday excursions.
It’s fully lined and has either a zippered or slip pocket inside. Plus, it’s lovely in any color theme.
While the pattern specifies a medium-weight fabric such as duck canvas or denim for the body of the bag, you can also make it with quilting cotton. For a sturdier bag, layer the fabric with thin batting or fusible fleece and machine quilt it, perhaps with a simple crosshatch, before cutting out the bag pieces. The resulting bag will be less slouchy but also extra sturdy. Quilting cotton is used for the bow and lining.
The completed bag designed by Lisa Summerhays from Stubbornly Crafty is approximately 13.5″ x 14″, not including the handles.
