Choose a Favorite Color Palette to Make it Your Own!
What first caught our eye is the beautiful color combination used in this quilt. We’re suckers for colors close in value to each other that weave in and out to lead the eye around a design.
That lends a complexity that makes simple blocks into something special. Of course, the colors themselves are wonderful, too. However, the quilt will be fabulous in whatever color combination you choose.
It will be fun selecting fabrics from this quilt. Choose packs of pre-cut squares, or pull a nice combination from your stash.
Quilt from Jo’s Country Junction.
Quilt from A Quilting Life.
Instructions are included for quilts in two sizes:
- made from 10″ layer cake squares – 69 1/2″ x 69 1/2″

You’ll find the “Hot Cross” quilt in Schnibbles Times Two: Quilts from 5″ or 10″ Squares by Carrie Nelson. The book includes instructions for 12 charming quilts, several of which we can’t wait to make.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
