Create a Cheerful Quilt to Brighten Gray Days |
It’s An Easy One to Make, Too!
Fresh spring greens and sky blues are so lovely in this beautiful quilt. It will be charming in other colors as well, but we’re partial to this cheerful color combination during gray and chilly weather. There’s just something uplifting about it!
White and gray set off the colors beautifully and provide places for the eye to rest between vivid patches. Choose 5″ charm squares and jelly roll strips in colors you enjoy, along with sashing and inner border accents.
The quilt is an easy one to make and can be finished relatively quickly.
One completed, the throw quilt from The Cottage Mama is 50″ x 60″.
It will be a simple matter to make it into a bed sized quilt by adding more blocks. You’ll need to play with the piano key border to get the lengths you need for a differently sized quilt.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
