It’s Far Easier To Make Than It May Seem!

Beautiful fabrics come together in a gorgeous Cathedral Window pillow. The colors are perfect for spring, or enjoy them all year long.

If you’ve not made Cathedral Window blocks before, this is a great project for trying them out. You’ll be surprised how simple they are to create.

Cathedral Window Pillow Tutorial

Deonn, from Quiltscapes, constructed her blocks using the technique demonstrated in the video below by Jennifer from Shabby Fabrics. She started with the following fabric pieces:

“I used 10-inch squares for the base, 3-1/8″ squares for the windows, and I placed an extra square beneath the diagonal curves to add a pop of color!”

Don’t worry if all your block points don’t match. Buttons hide those, as well as being lovely decorative touches.

The finished size of Deonn’s pillow is not given. However, you can make a pillow of whatever size you prefer by adjusting the number of blocks.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
