Or Use the Block in Larger Projects!

This pretty basket block is perfect for spring, Easter, Mother’s Day and for use in larger projects. We love how the designer enlarged the block with background-colored borders and mounted it on stretched canvas for a lovely table top or wall display.

It’s a quick block to make using paper piecing for accuracy. If you’ve not tried that before this is a great project to start with. You’ll love how easy it is and how well the block turns out.

The block, from Rose at Threadbare Creations, is 7″ x 9″ once completed.

While you’re there, check out the “Bunny Butt Cushion.” Isn’t it cute? the pattern for that is also free.

This would make a sweet mini quilt, too, or incorporate it into a larger project. Or, use the applique for place mats or a table runner. The 14″ square pillow is all made with simple piecing and fusible applique.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
