Create Easy Fabric Stars to Shine from Your Walls |
Wonderful in Your Favorite Colors and for the Holidays Too!
Dimensional fabric stars are beautiful accent pieces wherever they are displayed. Put them on a wall, a door and even in a nursery. They’re wonderful in seasonal colors, too, for your holiday decor.
The personalities of the stars change depending on the fabrics used. They can be homespun or elegant, bright or subdued. In fact, they will shine in whatever colors you choose.
Select fabrics to match your decor, a particular season, or that you simply love. Think of texture, too, both as print style and the actual texture of the fabric. Nubby fabric can impress without color.
A special stabilizer (found here) is used to create 3D shapes that are then stitched together to form the stars. The stitching can be done by hand or machine.
Instructions are provided for stars in three sizes – 13″, 20″ and 25″.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
