They’re Simple to Make and So Much Fun!

Wrap embroidery floss around wooden spools and give them spooky personalities with stiff paper, found items and paint. They’re fun to make and even more delightful to display.

Wooden spools in varying sizes can be found at craft stores and at Amazon. Look over the selection of wooden spools at Amazon here. The rest of the supplies you may already have on hand.

Follow the instructions, from Lisa Storms at Make It Yourself Magazine, to create the ghouls shown here. Or play and create your own cute spool creatures.

Once they’re done, display them in your sewing room or elsewhere around the house. They’re sure to make you smile whenever you see them.
