Sort your scraps into color themes or seasonal combinations. You may be surprised how many of these easy boxes you can make with what you have on hand.

Lotza Boxes Pattern

The pattern specifies 1 1/4″ strips for the pieced bodies, but that can be varied. String piecing makes the boxes a breeze to stitch together.

Instructions are provided for boxes in two sizes:

  • 4″ x 4″ x 12″
  • 4″ x 4″ x 6″

You can easily adapt the pattern to other sizes by varying the dimensions of the starting rectangle.

The pattern for “Lotza Boxes” is included in the Autumn 2016 issue of Quilter’s World.
