Two simple blocks create a lovely quilt made special with red points around the outside. Of course, you can use whatever color is the best accent for the fabrics you select.
Reproduction prints are beautiful in this quilt. It will be wonderful in other fabric styles as well. Choose a good number of fat eights, fat quarters or jelly roll strips to give the quilt its scrappy look.
The quilt is constructed with blocks in diagonal rows. While that may seem complicated, it really isn’t. Laura from Sew Very Easy walks you through every step in the following video.

The finished quilt, from Marcus Fabrics, is 55 1/2″ x 64″ once completed. However, you can easily adjust the size as Laura explains in the video.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
Seeing this reminds me that I have many blocks already made for this from my scraps. Haven’t added any since about 2007!! Think I will now put it on point. After I finish some more blocks!

The link for the free pattern is not working for me. Shame, it’s a nice looking quilt.
