Log Cabin blocks and a simple pieced bird in the center give this quilt lasting appeal. The pine cones and branches are easy fusible applique.

While we love this in classic red and green, we can also imagine it with some blue mixed into the green in the Log Cabin blocks for a more wintry look.
The quilt looks complex but is an easy one to make, even for beginners. You can have this finished up in just a few hours.
The pattern is from the same designer who gave us the beautiful “Winter’s Song Cardinal Quilt”, which you can see here.
The finished quilt, from Prairie Grove Peddler, is 36″ X 36″.
