So Many Looks Are Possible From This Feathered Star Quilt Pattern!
There’s just something about the subtle coloring of this quilt that brings us back to it again and again. That pop of black in the border with the soft colors overall is so appealing (we’d be tempted to use the same black in the feathers of the star, too!).
Plus, the lovely feathered star in the center and all that room to show off your quilting will make this quilt a treasured family heirloom.
If you’re looking for a feathered star quilt pattern, this is a wonderful one to have on hand, regardless of the fabrics you choose. Make it bright and modern, subdued and primitive, or anything in between. Keep the values close, like in this version, or use more contrast so the center star pops. You can’t go wrong with this modern take on the feathered star quilt by designer Bev Getschel.
The finished quilt is 54″ x 60″, ideal for a throw on your bed or sofa.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
