Instructions Are Provided for Three Quilt Sizes!
Plaids, checks and stripes give this charming quilt plenty of personality. It’s a great project for old men’s shirts, whether made as a memory quilt or from shirts found at the thrift store.
Of course, you can use new fabrics too. Floral and geometric prints combined with stripes and ginghams will be lovely made up in this pattern.
Choose soft colors, as shown here, or go with more vivid ones. Select a wide array of fabrics to give it a scrappy look, or coordinate around a color theme. Just about anything will work with this pattern so have fun with your fabric selections.
The quilt is made entirely from Flying Geese blocks and rectangular bars. Choose sashing and borders to pull the colors together.
The pattern, from designer Sandra L. Hatch, includes instructions for three quilt sizes:
- Twin – 63″ x 79″
- Double – 78″ x 87″
- Queen – 89″ x 91″
If you don’t already have an account, you’ll need to enter your email address to access the pattern.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
