Granny Square Ornaments, Coasters and More

Three Sweet Projects from One Pretty Little Block!

Granny Square blocks are so charming. We’ve seen them used in quilts, wall hangings, tote bags and pillows. Emily at Auntie Em’s Crafts shows us how to make them into pretty little ornaments and coasters.

Sew up four, tie them together with a ribbon, and you have a wonderful gift. Make the coasters all the same or mix them up, using matching colors and fabrics.

Or, add a ribbon or cord for hanging and the coasters turn into darling tree ornaments.

Mini Granny Square OrnamentEmily even shows us how to turn the mini Granny Squares into pincushions. These make sweet little gifts for quilting and sewing friends.
