A Gorgeous Quilt of Valor to Give or to Display!

Honor vets, active duty soldiers and their families with the gift of this gorgeous quilt. It’s also a wonderful quilt to use and display during the summer and for patriotic holidays.

This quilt is relatively easy to make for those who can cut accurately and consistently stitch a 1/4″ seam. It’s not necessarily a quick quilt, but once you’ve completed the star blocks it will all stitch together in a snap. Take your time and you’ll be rewarded with a gorgeous quilt when you’re done.

Three Tours Quilt

Choose soft, slightly weathered-looking fabrics for a comforting version of this quilt.

Or go bold, like Jody did with her version (more info here).

Three Tours Quilt Pattern

Designer Tony Jacobson designed this for his nephew who has served three tours in the Iowa National Guard. This quilt will be cherished by everyone who loves our country and supports our troops.

The finished quilt is 70″ x 78″.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
