House and Garden Quilt is Full of Vintage Charm |
Go with Bold Colors for an Equally Lovely quilt!
Houses and flowers combine to give this charming quilt a vintage look. Pastel fabrics with small prints contribute to the 1930s feel.
Bold colors would give it an entirely different, and equally lovely, look. Feel free to experiment with fabric choices if you prefer a more modern quilt. Either way this pattern will make up into a beautiful quilt.
The neighborhood landscape is created with piecing and applique. While neither is difficult, you’ll want to have solid quilting skills to tackle this project.
There’s plenty of white space to try different quilting motifs and to show off your quilting skills. Keep it simple with straight line quilting or give it lots of texture with fancier designs.
The designer, Vicki Bellino, provides clear instructions to complete this 61″ x 68″ quilt. It will be the perfect lap quilt for chilly evenings on the front porch and for any room in the house throughout the year.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
