Make a French Seam Pillowcase Set in Under 30 Minutes!

Are you making, or planning to make, a quilt to give as a gift? Sweeten the gift by including matching pillowcases (don’t forget to buy enough extra fabric!).

Or, simply give pillowcases. Just about everyone will enjoy a set of pillowcases with fabrics selected just for them.

French Seam Pillowcase Tutorial

While it may take a bit more than 30 minutes, this method will quickly produce pillowcases with hidden seams. Pillows will slip into the cases easily, since there’s nothing to snag them on. Plus, the pillowcases will wear well with no exposed seams to fray over time.

Three fabrics are used to make the pillowcases: the main fabric, an accent strip and the cuff. Imagine all the beautiful fabric combos you can create!
