Make a Patchwork Cover for Your Tablet or Laptop |
Customize the Size to Fit Your Device!
Tablets, notebooks and laptops are everywhere these days and you probably have one or more of your own. The first thing you usually think of when acquiring a new device is finding a protective case for it. There are many covers and such available for purchase, but a patchwork case is protective while being much more fun.
This pattern from Amy Ellis of Amy’s Creative Side can be sized to fit just about any device. Pictured here are the covers she made for an iPad and laptop. Just follow her instructions for adapting them to fit whatever device you have in mind.
Have fun selecting fabric for your case. Just about anything goes so choose coordinated colors that are right for you.
This will make a wonderful gift, too. Fabrics that suit the recipient will make it a highly personal and much appreciated gift.
When we first visited the tutorial page we needed to close a couple of pop-up type pages in order to reach the tutorial. If that happens for you just click on the big Xs in the top right corners.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
