Customize it to Fit Your Tools and Supplies!

This pretty sewing station drapes over the arm of a sofa or chair for easy access to hand-sewing tools. It keeps everything handy and folds up when you’re done, making it easy to sit down and sew whenever you have a few minutes and clean up the clutter quickly.

Customize yours with a variety of pocket options, with and without flaps, so it works just right for your tools and supplies. Other options include the cute snap-on pincushion cube and the magnetic needle minder that sit on top of the arm, as well as a covered needle keeper. You can even alter the length so it fits nicely over your sofa’s arm.

While functional, it’s also beautiful since it essentially becomes part of your decor when in use. Choose prints you love, fussy cut motifs if you want, and add some hand or machine quilting for texture.

This organizer is great for hand sewing but can also be customized for other crafts. For example, channels can be added for crochet hooks or leave a large pocket for an embroidery hoop.

The designer, Ali Phillips from Arabesque Scissors has done a wonderful job with this organizer design so that you can make it into just what you need. It will also make a lovely gift.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
