Make a Storage Box for Sewing Machine Needles

It’s Cleverly Organized and So Easy to Do!

This clever storage box for sewing machine needles is an easy DIY project. Plus, it’s well thought out and will easily keep your needles organized and handy.

Each needle type and size has it’s own space, with the needle’s specs right there for easy reference. Thin magnets provide storage for used needles, as well. The box is perfect for Schmetz needles but can easily be adapted for other needle brands, as well.

Start with a small box, like a recipe box. Print out the Schmetz Needle Guide, print it on full-sheet sticky-backed paper to create labels, and add magnets to each pocket for used needles.

Laura from Sew Very Easy shows you how in the following video.

Avery Full Sheet Labels can be found here.

You’ll find adhesive-backed magnet discs here.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
