It’s An Easy Project That’s Customized to Fit Just Right!
You probably spend a lot of time at the ironing board, so you deserve a pretty cover to look at while you’re working there. This ironing board cover is simple to make from an attractive print and a coordinating accent. Keep in mind that fabric with a more subtle design will work best as a background for your ironing tasks.
The cover is customized to fit your ironing board and designed to cover the existing padding and heat-resistant fabric. It’s held in place with ribbon cinched up under the board, although elastic will also work.

This easy cover is a great choice when the existing one is stained and needs to be replaced. In the following tutorial, designer Alicia Thommas from Sew4Home shows exactly how to customize it to fit your ironing board.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you! PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
