Navy and White Are So Pretty in This Quilt
Use Scraps or Start from Fresh for a Beautiful Rendition!
Whether you want to make a winter quilt or simply love blue and white, this pretty quilt is perfect for chilly weather. A variety of rich navy prints against assorted whites creates an inviting quilt to enjoy for many years to come.
Choose a nice combination from your stash, pull out scraps, or start from fresh. The more coordinating fabrics you collect for this project the more interesting the quilt will be.
Also consider making this lovely pattern in other two-color combinations. Red and white will be striking, while a softer two-color mix will be just as nice.
While the quilt looks complex, it’s really quite simple to make. Square patches and half-square triangles create the center of the quilt, with more half-square triangles used for the pretty sawtooth border. Speed construction by making 8 half-square triangles at a time.
The quilt, made by Janelle Swenson for American Patchwork & Quilting, is 56 1⁄2″ × 64 1⁄2″ once completed.
