Color This Easy Quilt for Spring or Any Time of Year!

Sherbet colored batiks are sweetly charming in this easy quilt. The matching pieced border is the perfect finishing touch.

Select a variety of batiks, mottled or small-print fabrics in coordinating colors. Sweet spring colors are so lovely, or go bright and bold. Darker, more subdued colors will be pretty too.

Sweet and Spicy Quilt

You might also consider using a colored background to set off the main fabrics. This pattern will translate beautifully to just about any color combination.

This is an easy project, and a relatively quick one for experienced quilters. Beginners with good basic skills will also enjoy this pattern.

The finished quilt, from Sue Harvey and Sandy Boobar, is 52″ x 63″ once completed.

The “Sweet and Spicy” quilt pattern is included in the Spring 2014 issue of Quilter’s World. It’s available as a digital download.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
