Use Old Cotton Sheets, or Any Fabrics that Appeal to You!

This cheerful quilt began as a collection of fabrics reminiscent of vintage sheets. In fact, the back of the quilt is made from a single vintage sheet – no seams!

We love the warm-weather feel of the colors and the overall vintage look.

The designer, Amy Smart, used her “Double Crossed” quilt pattern for this quilt. Notice that she added a thin inner border that matches the lattice and a pieced wide outer border.

Double Crossed Quilt Pattern

This is a really simple pattern to piece. The overall design comes from the fabric selection and placement.

Instructions are included for two sizes, crib and twin. You can easily add rows and borders to make it larger.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
