Quilting, as we all know, can be an expensive endeavor. From specialized tools to beautiful fabric, it’s easy to spend a lot, not just to get set up and started but on an ongoing basis.
While high-quality tools are often the best choice, there are many useful items for the sewing room that can be found much less expensively at the dollar store. Claudia from Create with Claudia has created a comprehensive list of 44 items she found at her local store.
She’s divided the list into tools, items to help you stay organized, and useful design aids. While many items are no-brainers that you may already have on hand, you’re sure to find some great ideas on her list.
Keep in mind that Dollar Tree has raised their prices from $1 to $1.25 and has added $5 Dollar Tree PLUS items (so watch prices when you’re shopping). Even so, you’ll still save a lot on many items by buying them at Dollar Tree (or other dollar stores) instead of those marketed specifically for quilting.
