We can easily imagine this in reds for Valentine’s Day, made up in Civil War era prints, and even in vivid colors against a dark background.
Choose a wide array of fabrics from your stash. Go full on scrappy or organize around a color theme. Of course, you can start with new fabric, too. Pre-cuts will allow you to collect several to give it a scrappy look.
This quilt is an easy one to make, even for beginning quilters. Straight line quilting will finish it off beautifully. Or, add some free motion quilting if you’re so inclined.
The finished quilt is 44 1/8″ x 55 1/2″. It’s sized for a crib quilt or throw. However, you can make it larger by adding more blocks and adjusting the border to fit.
