Easily Adjust the Size from Crib to King!

This charming scrappy quilt is made almost entirely of 2 1/2″ squares. Cut them from leftover jelly roll strips and charm squares, or from fresh fabric or scraps.

Better yet, get in the habit of cutting leftovers into 2 1/2″ strips and squares whenever you’re cutting for a quilt project. In time you’ll have a marvelous selection of squares to choose from for projects like this one.

The quilt, by Deanna at Wedding Dress Blue, is a simple project for beginning and experienced quilters alike. It’s so easy to make that you may find yourself making more than one.

Change the look by changing the background fabric and the main color focus of the fabric squares. Just about any color you love will blend with scraps (whether they are color coordinated or not) and produce a stunning quilt.

Most of these examples are from Wedding Dress Blue. Visit the site to see many other variations.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
