Matching Coasters Can be Used Throughout Your Home!

Fabric maple leaves in two sizes are perfect for placemats and coasters. The coaster size can also be used for mug rugs, or add a layer or two of Insul-Bright batting for pot holders and trivets.

Make each one a different fall color or make them all the same. Low-contrast prints allow the leaf shapes to shine. Small prints will be charming as well.

The following video by Jen from Shabby Fabrics shows how they’re made. The veins of the leaves are sewn with glitter thread. Jen offers many great tips for using it successfully.

You’ll also need the cutting template, which is available below.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
