Make the Most of a Pack of 10″ Squares!

Not only is this quilt charming and easy, it’s also very economical. It uses nearly all of one pack of 10″ Layer Cake squares plus an inner border, backing and binding.

This is a great project for making the most of that special Layer Cake that you’ve been cherishing. Plus, it’s super easy to make and will be wonderful in any color theme.

Scrumptious Brick Layer Cake Quilt Pattern

Choose an accent for the inner border that complements the Layer Cake squares and you’re good to go. The quilt is super quick to make and you’ll have it done before you know it.

Once completed, the finished quilt, designed by Sarah from Sew Me Blog, is about 54″ x 67.5″.

Please Note: Some of the fabric measurements are in meters instead of yards. The specified 0.5 m is slightly larger than half a yard (.55 yard). According to our math a half yard of the inner border and another for the binding will be sufficient when the strips are cut across the full width of the fabric.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
