Mix and Match Colors for Your Own Special Version!
Fat quarters come together in a beautiful quilt that’s easier to make than it may seem. Select one predominant color plus several others that go well with it for a compelling and interesting quilt.
Pink is beautiful, however we can easily imagine just about any color as the main focus of this quilt. We can also imagine it with a darker background for an entirely different look (think autumn or Civil War fabrics).
Dig into your stash and put together your own color combination. You’ll have fun designing a special version of this lovely quilt.
The intricate design is made up of two simple blocks and large square patches. The biggest challenge to making this quilt may be keeping the colors organized so they end up in the right spots.
The quilt, from designer Vanessa Goertzen, has instructions for a 60″ x 72″ quilt plus quilts in two other sizes.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
