Simple Fabric Baskets Have so Many Uses |
Make Some to Use and Some to Give!
Choose your prettiest fabrics for these simple baskets and enjoy using and displaying them around the house. They’re great storage in the sewing room, kitchen, bathroom and more.
They also make wonderful gifts. The baskets go together quickly and will be wonderful in whatever fabrics you choose. Fill a basket with goodies for a quick, personalized gift.
Instructions are provided for two sizes, although the finished sizes are not noted. Once you see how they go together you can easily adjust the size to suit your needs.
The designer, Nadra Ridgeway from Ellis & Higgs, used Bondaweb for structure and inserted florist wire around the rim. Choose a fusible interfacing of whatever firmness you prefer. If it’s firm enough you may not need the wire for the baskets to hold their shape.
The fabrics used by the designer are available here while supplies last.
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
