Stop Struggling with Diamond Points with This Tip
It Works With Other Seam Intersections As Well!
Do you find yourself doing a lot of tearing out when combining diamond shaped patches? Matching up those points can be a bit tricky but this process will help.
Susan from QuiltFabrication has written an excellent tutorial showing how to achieve perfect points when combining rows of diamonds. We love her tip to sew just a few stitches at each intersection before sewing full rows together. That saves a lot of ripping out if you need to re-do a section because the points don’t match.
This process works with many types of patches and blocks where achieving precise joins is a bit of a challenge. Give it a try the next time you’re combining rows of diamonds or other tricky intersections. You may find, like Susan did, that diamonds are way easier than you thought.
