Take Control of Your UFOs with These Great Tips
Implement a UFO Challenge to Get Them Finished!
Do you sometimes feel like your unfinished quilt projects (UFOs) are taking over? Whether the issue is physical space or taking up too much space in your head, Monica Curry suggests embarking on a UFO Challenge to get them done.
She has several great tips for getting those projects finished and out of your sewing space. One that we especially like is doing a little every day to move things along. You can make a lot of progress that adds up over time in 15 or 30 minutes (set a timer and then get back to your current project!).
But first get organized. Follow Monica’s tips to prepare to move forward with all of the projects. That way you can pick whichever one strikes your mood that day to work on for a few minutes. Moving back and forth between projects can be just as effective as working on one project until it’s completed – and help you stay motivated.
She uses a scrapbooking storage case to store everything related to a project so she can just grab one to work on that day. Notes can help you keep track of what needs to be done next with that project. The cases found here measure 13.1″ x 12.3″ x 2.2″ inside and will work with most quilt blocks.
