It’s Even Better For You Than You May Realize!
If you’ve been quilting for long, you’ve surely discovered that doing so can help you feel better. Not only can quilting itself lift your mood, there’s also the fun of fabric shopping on a regular basis.
However, you may be surprised by what doctors and scientists have discovered about the benefits of quilt. It turns out that quilting truly is good for your health, and for a number of reasons.
Our favorite may be that quilting is as good for you, or even better, than physical exercise. We’re not suggesting that you give up daily walks and other forms of exercise, as your body really does need to move on a regular basis. But, quilting imparts benefits such as cognitive, creative and emotional well-being that physical exercise does not.
Mayra at So Sew Easy has written a very interesting article about the many benefits of quilting. You may be surprised to learn how many ways you and your health can benefit from quilting on a regular basis.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
