Make as Many as You Need for a Quilt of Any Size!

One of the things we love about Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Co. is her enthusiasm about all things quilting. But we’ve never seen her as excited as she is about this method for making Pineapple blocks.

Using her technique you can create beautiful Pineapple blocks without paper piecing. You don’t even need to sew very accurately. Each block is squared up after every round, resulting in nice, square blocks that sew together beautifully.

Jenny used solid fabrics for her version but prints will be lovely too. Start with pre-cut 1 1/2″ skinny strips and 5″ charm squares for quick construction. Or, cut your own strips and squares if you prefer.

The secret to her foolproof construction method is the Creative Grids Trim Tool. You’ll find the standard and mini sizes here.

Watch as Jenny demonstrates the process in the video below.

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest has featured many patterns from vendors participating in the Craftsy Marketplace, most of which have been deleted by Craftsy. It's going to take awhile for us to hunt down new sources for those patterns. In the meantime there are many links to patterns on our site that no longer work. We apologize if this article contains one or more of those links and appreciate your patience while we straighten things out. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: Quilting Digest does not sell or otherwise provide patterns directly. We showcase patterns and projects from various vendors, bloggers and other sources. Please make a note of where you access a pattern (the link in the yellow box toward the end of each Quilting Digest article). That way you can contact Support for that source if you have downloading problems or other issues. Thank you!
