It Makes a Wonderful Gift, Too!

Breakfast will be a lot more fun with this happy hen pot holder to greet you in the morning. The three dimensional wings and feet add to its whimsical appeal, while the comb doubles as a hanger. We can easily imagine a whole flock of these hanging near the stove ready to help out any time of day.

The pot holder is an easy project to complete, even for beginners. The main shapes are turned while fusible applique and buttons do the rest.

Use a layer of Insul-Bright batting along with cotton batting for heat proofing. Fun fabrics from your scrap bag are perfect for this project.

The finished pot holder is 8″ x 8 3/4″ without the loops, wings and feet.
